There are two working bees planned. Families can choose one to help get the track back to top condition as well as receive a refund of the $30 Working Bee levy paid in the season fees.
Please bring any tools they think would assist including rakes, spades, brooms, whippersnippers, blowers, building tools, wheel barrows, gloves etc. 8am start at the track.
Well finally some good news about David Thomson. Truth is almost stranger than fiction in this case. Last weeks diagnosis was cancer in his leg, this weeks diagnosis is that it is just calcification of a muscle in his leg from trauma and extended periods in bed! The doctors have now done a full body scan and hopefully got the diagnosis 100% right this time. Lucky they didn't start chemoptherapy or even worse - operate! Anyway the prognosis is much better and thankfully David & family have now NOT got the spectre of aggressive secondary cancers. Recovery from the lung operation is progressing well.
Congratulations to Brooke, Reese, Jake, Nathan and Lee who have all recorded 10 or more PBs now. Medals will be available right after the Christmas break. Check out your tallly on the Current PBs page.
All Centres are required to change their Centre uniform to incorporate the LAVic logo on the upper right side prior to the 2013/14 season. Knox will be introducing it for the 2012/13 season.
The Knox Centre Executive thought this would be a good opportunity to change the design of the Knox uniform but still retain the Centre’s traditional colours of predominately yellow and black.
Who better to come up with a new design than our athletes themselves?
So Knox Centre is running a competition to design the new Centre uniform. You may use the template below to assist with colouring in. Artwork must be original and not copied from another design.
The winner will have their 2012/13 season fees paid for by the Centre and a free Centre uniform designed by YOU! There will also be consolation prizes for those short listed.
